Our DNA

Gary and Leni Dempsey Proprietors of Jeremiah Downs located at Yeo, Birregurra / Colac District Victoria have a multi-generational heritage of cattle & dairy farming dating back well over 100 years.

Gary’s Father Jeremiah (Jerry) Dempsey was a significant Dairy and Cattle farmer in Victoria where Gary spent a great deal of time working at both the dairy in Altona during his formative years and then latter at the cattle properties in Truganina.

For Leni, her pedigree stretches back to Grandfather Mick Fogarty and her uncles all of which are in the Stockman’s Hall of Fame. Leni’s Mother Coral spent a great deal of her younger life working at some of Northern Australia’s largest cattle stations.

It’s little wonder both Gary and Leni have cattle farming in their DNA.
